Our tour begins with a visit to the famous Göreme OpenAir Museum, where we will visit several Byzantine churches. You will have the opportunity to view the best preserved frescoes in Cappadocia, dating to the 11th century. Then we will drive to Uçhisar, where you will have the opportunity to check out ancient Uçhisar castle up-close. We stop for lunch before heading to the charming town of Avanos to learn about the long tradition of making pottery from the red clay of the Kızılırmak. From Avanos it is a short drive to Paşabagı, also known as Monks’ Valley for the hermits who used to live here.  We visit the old residential dwellings, as well as some impressive fairy chimneys, including one with three heads! On our way to Ürgüp, we stop at Devrent Valley to observe some of the strangest rock formations in all Cappadocia, including the famous camel formation. The final attraction, the Ürgüp family of fairy chimneys. The mother, father and baby fairy chimneys are the most famous in Cappadocia! Our driver will then transfer you to your hotel.
